Conquered my Nemesis (video)

By the time I get to the 7th hole at Old Avalon Golf Course, I start working myself up about the upcoming tee shot on the 9th.  I don't know what is is about this hole, but I slice hard right or pull extremely hard left.  The hard left comes from me trying to anticipate and counter the slice to the right.   Not today though! I think I got it figured out.   Click for video

Finally a Good Backyard Golf Net (video)

I'm not the biggest of hitters.  I have a 95 mph club head speed.  I have destroyed 2 nets so far.  Luckily, I bought the first two from places with easy return policies.  After my disappointment,  I find it very easy to recommend this net.  There is NO WAY I will get through this one. The setup is super simple and fast. Video: Demo of my golf net Link to Net

Covid-19 - Golfing at Home - Optishot 2 Simulator (video)

The Covid-19, Stay-at-Home Order had us coming up with different ways to keep ourselves occupied and entertained.  We are all leaning how to play golf now.   We are fortunate to have enough backyard space to hit out to about 120 yards.   I never would have thought that golf is something that I would enjoy.  I'm probably the most in love with it.  Vanessa tolerates it and participates for me and I appreciate that.   However, she wanted OUT of this video.  This is the temporary setup of our home golf simulator.  We will be moving soon, so there was no real need to do anything permanent.   OptiShot 2 Garage Golfing - Temporary Setup Click Here

1st New Blog Post, Old Blog Inactive

I had a blog that I started years ago, but to be honest, I wasn't very good at keeping up with it.  This is "Take 2."  This time I have help with both the blog posts and the memory making.  This will be fun.   I don't want to lose the information I had already, but I'm not really interested in bringing it all over to this blog.  Posts that I made at  http://idoitoutside.blogspot.com/ , will stay there so I can reference it, but it will remain inactive.  Here's to the now and the future!                                                                                                          Dublin, 2019
