Heidi's first US Kids Golf Tournament 08/30/20

Heidi not only had her first competition ever, but her first US Kids Golf tournament!! I don't want to sound conceitedly biased, but my kids are the freaking best! Heidi's attitude and demeanor the entire time was her typical bouncy happy self and that made me super happy because I don't want anything they do as entertainment to ever become so serious that its no longer fun. Let me tell you though, Heidi showed up at the Fox Den golf course to PLAY SOME FREAKIN GOLF!! she played the best game she has EVER played. She swung those clubs like she has been doing this way longer than March. She finished with a 58 on 9 holes, coming in second to a little girl who has been doing this for 2 years and finished with a 56. 3 strokes behind a girl who has been doing this for 2 years. Jay did fantastic as her caddy, giving advise when needed, but mostly letting her just play her game and have fun. As you can hear in the background of the video I was a freaking mess of anxiet...

Haiden's 1st "official" middle school match

The way Haiden's middle school league works is each team only sends 6 players to away matches, so the home team can only compete as many players that the away team sends. The rest of the kids on the home team play a practice round with each other. This was Haiden's first actual recorded match where he was paired up with one of his team mates and one team member of the other team. And as yall already know, he did AMAZING!! He got his very first par EVER  on the very first hole too! Thats why in the first part of the video he puts his hand to his mouth...he knew if he made that next putt, it was par. He also played his best game finishing with a 62. Its awesome watching him out there with kids his age and the focus he has and the strategy he works through on each hole. I'm super proud of his progress and his hard work put forth to continue to improve!! Video
